Over the half-term break Mrs Smith and her husband helped to distribute much needed food hampers to families.
The family food hampers were donated to HTS by Worth Unlimited Kidderminster, who support children and families in the Comberton and Offmore areas.
Mrs Smith said: “Each Saturday families were provided with a fruit and vegetable box with a dozen eggs, a 10kg bag of potatoes, bread, food tins and jars, sandwich fillers, crisps, biscuits, puddings, rice, pasta, milk, tea, coffee, cereal and a fresh meat pack containing chicken, mince, bacon and sausage.
“With the help of my husband we were able to deliver Easter hampers to fifteen Holy Trinity families. We are so grateful to Worth Unlimited Kidderminster. We had so much food we needed to take both cars to deliver the boxes, and by the time we finished we were well and truly exhausted, but really thrilled to have been able to support our families who were overwhelmed with the hampers they received.”
Families also received a carrier bag filled with toiletries, chocolate and activities for the children to complete. The school now plan to continue to distribute food hampers over the coming May half term break.
