Holy Trinity’s Senior School is located within the same building as our Prep and Sixth Form areas. This shared site supports a smooth and confident transition from Year 6 into Year 7, enabling continuity and familiarity as students begin their senior journey.
Our Senior curriculum builds on the strong academic foundations laid in the Prep years. Students benefit from subject-specialist teaching in English, maths, and science, with lessons delivered in dedicated classrooms, including four fully equipped science laboratories where biology, chemistry, and physics are taught as discrete subjects.
A creative carousel allows students to explore a range of practical disciplines such as drama, 3D design, and food technology, alongside standalone lessons in art and graphics. Students in Years 7 and 8 also enjoy weekly swimming sessions in our on-site pool, in addition to their core PE lessons using our outdoor courts and gym facilities.
French is studied throughout Key Stage 3, reflecting the school’s historical roots, with opportunities to pursue the language at both GCSE and A level.
Music
Music continues to be a vibrant and celebrated part of school life. Students can choose from a wide range of instrumental and vocal lessons, including recorder, flute, piano, singing, trumpet, and drums. Many go on to perform in school concerts or represent the school at regional and national level in competitions and events.
Pastoral Care
At Holy Trinity, we pride ourselves on strong and supportive pastoral care. Small class sizes allow Form Tutors and Subject Teachers to build meaningful relationships and provide tailored support. Each Key Stage is overseen by a dedicated Pastoral Lead who works closely with students and families to ensure every child is known, understood, and encouraged to thrive.
Our House System gives students opportunities to take on leadership responsibilities and develop confidence, teamwork, and a sense of belonging. Senior pupils play an active role in mentoring younger students and supporting House events throughout the year.
Careers education is embedded throughout the senior experience. Students benefit from talks and workshops led by industry professionals, university representatives, and alumni, helping them explore future pathways and make informed decisions.
Extra-Curricular and Enrichment
A vibrant extra-curricular programme offers students the chance to develop new skills, discover interests, and build friendships beyond the classroom.
Opportunities include:
- Residential and international trips (e.g. field studies, language exchanges, cultural visits)
- Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expeditions
- Regular fixtures and competitions across a wide range of sports
- Annual school drama production
- Lunchtime and after-school clubs such as chess, art, science, and music ensembles
Through these experiences, students develop confidence, independence, and a broad outlook — preparing them for life beyond school.
