The forecast for Kidderminster indicates a period of very hot weather next week. While Monday is currently expected to be slightly cooler, temperatures are forecast to rise significantly from Tuesday onwards and remain high throughout the week.

For the sake of clarity and consistency, we will therefore adopt the same hot weather uniform arrangements for the whole of next week (22 to 26 June 2026).

From Monday, students may choose to attend school in either:

  • their correct school PE kit; or
  • their normal school uniform.

Students do not have to wear PE kit if they would prefer to wear their normal uniform.

However, students must arrive at school either fully in their correct PE kit or fully in their correct school uniform. This is not a non-uniform day, and students should not mix PE kit with school uniform or wear alternative clothing.

Students who attend in normal school uniform will be allowed to remove blazers and ties during the day, and may roll up shirt sleeves and undo top buttons where appropriate, in line with our hot weather arrangements.

All other usual school expectations remain in place. This includes our normal rules regarding jewellery, make-up, nails, hair and general presentation. Students should also bring a water bottle to school each day, and we advise that sun cream is applied before school where appropriate.

We will continue to monitor the forecast and will make any further decisions as needed. Unless parents are notified otherwise, we expect normal uniform arrangements to resume the following week.

Thank you for your support and understanding.
