On Friday the 21st of March 2025, HTS Student Council members from Years 9, 10 and 12 had the opportunity to question Wyre Forest MP Mark Garnier about a range of local and national political issues.

His visit to HTS covered diverse discussion topics that ranged from: Brexit to Keir Starmer’s efficacy at handling the recent developments in the Ukraine; how he planned to support the local infrastructure to accommodate increased housing development and what a typical day was like in Parliament.

Headmaster, Mr Williams, stated: “I was incredibly proud of our students and very impressed by their eloquence, perceptive insights and their wide-ranging knowledge of political issues and current affairs.”
